STRONGEST CONNECTION 2025 invites the dancers, musicians and the audience to connect with themselves and each other in the present moment; this experimental an interdisciplinary community event is a celebration of magical moments of improvisation, movement and music. Internationally renown dancers from diverse artistic and cultural backgrounds meet with live musicians of all kinds, learn, exchange and improvise with each other.
In program we have jams with live music (all levels and styles welcome!!!), a dance battle with live music, performances, workshops and talks.

conFUSION dance & poetry lab —a unique lab where free writing and improvised dance meet. Through playful and accessible exercises, we’ll explore how written language can inspire movement—and how movement, in turn, can shape our words.

ABOUT NELODY:
nelody (she/her), a Berlin-based freelance dance artist originally from Finland, explores and researches the interconnections in various dance cultures and styles since 2014.
With her artistic research and dance philosophy, conFUSION concept, she experiments the unexpected fusion of dance styles and the "in-between-spaces" of diverse dance cultures. nelody is professionally trained in multiple dance styles and is endlessly fascinated by the diversity of different dance cultures and art forms. Her curiosity towards intercultural and interdisciplinary arts inspires her to continue observing the social and cultural influences which dance carries, and the contexts in which dance emerges. Her experimental dance style is strongly influenced by hip hop and its culture, contemporary dance, waving and other illusionary dance forms.
As a dancer, nelody has worked in multiple dance productions and shows, i.e in Staatstheater Nuremberg, with Sathis Hettithantri, Heidi Weiss, Flying Steps and more.
Since 2019 she also works as a choreographer, mostly in film and stage works, and also directs and conceptualises her own works and events. She has for example worked as choreographer in a dance film project for female empowerment in Iran with a singer-songwriter MENTRIX, with Yaman Okur, the Flying Steps and more. nelody collaborates internationally and locally with artists from diverse disciplines, especially with other dancers and performers, filmmakers and musicians performers. Her work is intercultural, interdisciplinary, intercultural and interactive.
Next to her artistic work, nelody teaches her conFUSION concept in social projects (i.e. Junge Deutsche Oper, sPERANTO worldwide, TanzZeit, etc) and in dance education programs and universities, and actively continues to connect human beings through dance.
nelody creates and facilitates spaces to foster the “cross-genre-discourse” within dance communities, within the dance scene, in order to allow dancers and the diverse dance communities to connect, experiment and learn with and from each other.
She hosts events to revive of the social, spiritual and anthropologic contexts of dance and to sustainably raise awareness and encourage both artists and the art lovers into interdisciplinary and intercultural exchange.

Sebastian Cio specializes in developing and delivering body awareness tools that support the personal, technical, and spiritual growth of his students.
The goal of this class is to increase the movement quality of the individual by unlocking and maximizing the connection with each body part.

ABOUT SEBASTIAN:
Sebastian Cio is a choreographer, professional dancer and creative director.
He completed his training as a dance teacher at the Academy of the General German Dance Teachers Association, where he learned standard dance, Latin American Dance
(including Salsa, Bachata), Rock'n'Roll and Discofox.
In Germany, Sebastian has been multiple times East-Germany and National Champion in Hip-Hop/Street Dance as a Solo Dancer as well as a Formation Dancer and Choreographer.
A few highlights from his journey:
• Toured for 2 years as choreographer for CRO, one of Germany’s biggest music artists (performing for over 700,000 live audience members)
• Guest teacher in over 25 countries worldwide
• Choreographer for three major musical productions at German opera houses
• Faculty member at the German National Dance Teacher Academy for five years
• Guest lecturer at the University of Weimar (Movement & 3D Animation Research)

Discover new ways of moving by shaping the body with creativity and precision.
In this workshop, we focus on creating shapes and angles in the body through the concept of Snaking—a movement technique rooted in spirals, curves, and circular pathways. You'll be guided through playful explorations that encourage both structure and freedom in your movement.
We’ll also explore liquid and linear arm patterns, incorporating elements of Waving and Tutting to form abstract waveforms and intricate hand shapes. This fusion approach invites you to experiment, break boundaries, and unlock your personal movement vocabulary.

ABOUT KALLI:
Kalliopi Tarasidou, also known as Kalli, is a dancer and choreographer from Thessaloniki, Greece, specializing in the style of Waving. She creatively combines Waving with Tutting, lines, and shapes, drawing inspiration from contemporary dance, acrobatics, and street styles like popping and hip hop. Kalli's innovative fusion creates a unique movement language that emphasizes authentic expression without fitting into any specific category.
Her professional journey began in 2013 when she joined the Flying Steps for the "Red Bull Flying Illusion" tour, which toured five years across Europe. Since then, she has collaborated with various companies, including Wangramirez on the piece "YOUME" and Julien Carlier on "Collapse."
Through her art, she hopes to encourage others to be creative, think beyond the usual, and stay true to themselves.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
in the conFUSION intensive you get to focus on enriching YOUR OWN, unique movement vocabulary and your understanding of dance, movement and performance ! We dive deep into the world of FUSION and interdisciplinary dance and we'll play in nelody's guidance with movement concepts, principles and methods.
conFUSION concept by nelody explores and experiments the interconnections between different dance styles and cultures, and draws inspiration from contemporary dance, hip hop and other dance styles and performance practices. nelody offers the participants tools to focus on building their own dance style and to research around themes like gravity, groove and flow, isolations, storytelling and musicality. Having fun, exchanging and connecting through dance plays an important role in nelody’s classes. During the intensive we practice dancing in smaller groups, too; to get to share our dance and connect with other participants.
For nelody it is essential to create a learning atmosphere in which all the participants can feel encouraged to explore movement, dance and performance and its multiple possibilities regardless of the amount of their dance experience.

explore the principles of dance, movement and performance together in Nelody's guidance in the conFUSION lab !
This dance workshop is focused on each individual's own dance style, movement language and encouraging them on their journey as a dancer, mover and performer. Nelody will be sharing the core principles of her ‘conFUSION concept’ which is her dance concept and artistic practise as well as her philosophy in understanding dance, art (and life...).
It doesn’t matter whether you are a hip hop- head, contemporary dancer, commercial dancer, break dancer or a body performer of any kind - the focus is on your own individual practise and research: curiosity and an open mindset is all you need. Nelody guides you through with exercises and assignments based on her dance concept.
The workshop will be taught in English.

Background: In September 2021, 15 advanced and professional dancers with different dance practise-backgrounds gathered in Berlin for my ‘conFUSION core’ dance intensive. They spent 30 hours in a dance studio labbing with me and got introduced to the core principles and tools of conFUSION concept and experimented in my guidance. The intensive was focused on each individual’s own movement language and their journey as a dancer, mover and performer.
The project was funded by Dachverbandtanz Deutschland and DIS-TANZ-SOLO.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a hip hop- head, contemporary dancer, commercial dancer, break dancer, ballet dancer or a body performer of any kind - the focus is on your own individual practise and research so curiosity and an open mindset is all you need - I’ll take care of the rest 🌻
you can either join on both days or only one. the second day includes choreography, so the ones choosing both days will definitely dig deeper ;)
